Volunteering – Tuesday 9 May 2017

This event will include two guest speakers, Diabetes Scotland and Volunteer Scotland. The event will include a workshop on Volunteer Management – The Essentials
The workshop will focus on everything you need to know for involving volunteers in your organisation. It will cover planning for involving volunteers, attracting the right volunteers and getting them started. It will also touch on how you can support and develop your volunteers.

The Big Lottery Foundation will be the guest speakers at the event. The Big Lottery Fund supports people who want to make life better for their communities. Their most popular funding is for £500 to £10,000 and overall they offer grants of up to £1 million. This workshop will summarise their grants and what to be aware of to have a better chance of receiving it.
Social Media Develop an Effective Social Media Strategy in 90 minutes – Thursday 7 December 2017

Ross McCulloch of Third Sector Lab and Be Good Be Social will take you through an intense session, focused on social media as a tool to get your job done. You'll come away from this session with an understanding of how social media can help your organisation achieve its aims, how you can protect your charity, staff and volunteers with a simple policy, which channels are key to your online presence and what makes great content. There will also be a chance for an open Q&A so bring along your burning questions for Ross.
