Citizens' Jury Information and Input Event
Our Voice is in the process of developing a new method of engagement based upon the Citizens’ Jury model. The basic premise is to select a ‘jury’ of members of the public to deliberate over a key question on health and social care with the help of expert ‘witnesses’ that they can call upon.
This particular Citizens’ Jury will centre on the Chief Medical Officer’s ‘Realising Realistic Medicine’ report.
We are looking for input into developing:
· The best format of Citizens’ Jury
· What issues the Jury should consider
We want to ensure that all aspects of the Citizens’ Jury is co-produced in a way that will make its outputs meaningful. Therefore, we are looking for people with an interest in shared decision making with regard to peoples’ medication options, from either a professional or personal standpoint, to join us and share their views.
At this event there will be an introduction to the Citizens’ Juries model and stories of previous ones that have taken place. You will then be invited to have your input.
Join us on the 10th July to learn more about Citizens’ Juries and for the opportunity to have your say on what you would like to see discussed by the Jury.
