Without breaks unpaid carers can become lost in their world of caring, sacrificing their own mental health, their relationships, and becoming defined by their role. Shared Care Scotland have carried out a piece of national research, published by IRISS, and it shows that over half of all carers have not had any break from their caring role.
The Scottish Government recently launched its consultation on No-fault Compensation and will run until 23 November.
