How can we keep children and young people engaged whilst on waiting lists to access services?

Join the Children and Young People Community of Practice (CoP) for a session focused on waiting lists.

Across the health and social care landscape, as demand rises and resources tighten, you may recognise that waiting lists for your services are increasing, or you’re introducing them for the first time. For a child or young person, being placed on a waiting list for a period of time can have a significant impact.

Bringing together members from our Children and Young People CoP, you’ll hear about interesting work happening across the sector to manage waiting lists and support children and young people while they wait to access services.

At this session, you’ll:

  • Increase your understanding of the impact of waiting lists on children and young people
  • Learn about best practice and examples of innovation across Scotland to support children and young people on waiting lists
  • Consider how we can keep children and young people engaged whilst on waiting lists
  • Network with members of our Community of Practice and others with an interest in the children and young people sector

To register for this session, please get in touch with the team at GIRFEC@alliance-scotland.org.uk

This is a session for members of our Children and Young People Community of Practice. It’s free to join and open to anyone with an interest in the children and young people sector. You can find out more and sign up to be part of it by visiting the CoP page.
