Read about our series of impact visits designed to broaden the reach of our annual conference.

The ALLIANCE Annual Conference ‘Our Voice, Our Rights, Our Future’ is taking place on May 1. This year, as an extension to the conference the ALLIANCE will be running a series of impact visits to our member organisations across Scotland.

The impact visits will take place across March and April to showcase third sector organisations working on innovative, engaging, and co-produced projects which aim to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for people in Scotland.  These visits are an opportunity to see first hand innovative third sector organisations working to enable and empower local communities to deliver long-term, sustainable change.

The visits share the work of our member organisations, whether this be structured around a discussion, workshop, or Q&A session. The visits will be filmed and some open for public attendance. They offer the chance to widen the reach of our conference and and find our more about our members.

We visited Networking Key Services Ltd (NKS) in Edinburgh on 6 March 2024.

Another visit to Long Term Conditions Hebrides, based on the Isle of Lewis, took place on 21 March 2024.

A visit also took place to Affa Sair on 28 March 2024, however, was not opened to the public.

An upcoming visit to Macauley College on 16 April will highlight their work to support young people with learning disabilities in isolated communities. This visit is not open to the public.

A short video will be released to showcase the good practice of these different health and social care charities.
