Accessibility and inclusion

Read about what we are doing at our annual conference to ensure accessibility and inclusion.
At all of our events, accessibility and inclusion are at the heart of our event planning. We are committed to making sure that our annual conference is welcoming and accessible to all attendees, ensuring that everyone can fully participate and engage.
As part of our efforts, we are taking active steps to ensure accessibility is a key consideration throughout the event. This includes:
- Ensuring presentations use minimal text and animation, with all visual information described aloud for participants who are blind or visually impaired.
- Offering large print and digital copies of handouts in accessible formats (Word and PDF) for those who use screen readers.
- Informing participants of how sessions will run, including any ground rules, planned discussion times, and breaks.
- Making assistive technology available, such as hearing loops and other communication aids.
- Encouraging speakers to face the audience to support those who lip-read and to introduce themselves for the benefit of those who are visually impaired or relying on captions.
- Providing microphones and ensuring contributions from the audience are accessible through a roving microphone or summary from the session chair.
- Ensuring that feedback forms are in an accessible format so that everyone can share their thoughts from the day.
We believe that accessibility is not just an add-on but a fundamental part of creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
