ClickGo is an innovative, accessible online tool to empower people to self-direct their social care support.
ClickGo (this link will take you away from our website) was developed by Carr Gomm and Planys Mobile. With the principles of personalisation at its heart, the project aims to make choice, control and independence a reality for everyone, regardless of support needs or support provider.
ClickGo users can securely log in to the website to manage all aspects of their care. They can access their real-time support schedule (complete with photographs and profiles of their support workers) whenever they choose and can send appointment requests to their provider.
The budget tracker enables users to take ownership of their individualised social care budget, while the outcomes tracker allows them to record their progress and create a body of evidence to share at reviews. ClickGo was piloted in 2012, gathering feedback and suggestions from around 100 people to iteratively develop the tool over three years.
“ClickGo is simple to work and means I don’t have to worry about things. I can see my calendar, support visits and staff all on the tablet!” – Jane, Dundee
The pilot’s success helped secure funding from Google and the Scottish Government to create an improved version of ClickGo that is now available to everyone.
