National Deaf Children’s Society Scotland are hosting a webinar introducing A-Z of Deafness/hearing loss for health visitors and trainees in Scotland.
The webinar will include training on deafness/hearing loss and will cover:
- An introduction to childhood deafness
- Deaf awareness, what to look out for
- How you can help and the role of other professionals
The event will include a Q and A session about deafness with a parent and a panel of experts working with deaf children and their families in health care and education settings.
The resource has been endorsed by CEN Hearing Impairment (Scotland), written by expert advisors working in NHS Scotland, specialising in Deafness and Speech and Language.
BSL and Electronic note-takers will be provided for this event, which will be hosted on Zoom.
