Assistive Technology: If Only I’d Known

Section: Membership Location: Online Date of event: 14/04/2021 at 14.00-15.30

Join us for our next digital members session on assistive technology for sensory impairment.

In this 1.5 hour interactive digital workshop, delivered by Sight and Sound Technology, you will engage with assistive technology for sight loss and visual impairment.

The session is titled “If only I’d known” because it’s the response most often heard by Sight and Sound Technology when people learn about the value that assistive technology gives to those that use it.

The session will involve:

  • case studies depicting people at various points in their lives, showing the range of technologies that can provide support and independence
  • live demonstrations and presentation of different technologies
  • questions and discussion

The educational session is for users and future users of assistive technology, and professionals within health and social care alike.
