Join us for a half day course delivered by Scottish Autism.
This course is designed for our members who are practitioners, professionals, or work with or alongside autistic people.
Autism is a developmental difference, and through this course you will begin to develop an understanding of the developmental differences an autistic person may have as well as turning our thinking to how this developmental profile may influence how an autistic person communications, thinks and understands the social world.
The half day will be interactive with opportunities for comments, questions and discussion.
- Overview of autism (What is autism, autism at developmental level)
- Autism at the behavioural level (Key characteristics of autism)
- Psychological theories (Different ways of thinking)
- Sensory processing (Impact on senses)
