Celebrate International Human Rights Day with the ALLIANCE and the Human Rights Consortium Scotland on Wednesday 10 December.

To celebrate International Human Rights Day on Wednesday 10 December, join the Health and Social Care Alliance (the ALLIANCE) and the Human Rights Consortium Scotland as we explore how to get prepared for 2026 to ensure human rights are at the forefront of pre-election discussions.

This engaging online session will involve a panel sharing their insights from policy, practice and lived experience on what the right to health means to them and what action needs to be taken to ensure that rights are being respected, protected, and fulfilled. The panel will share their thoughts on what needs to be considered in advance of the Scottish Parliament elections in May 2026.

This event is part of the Being Human series which explores the importance of embedding human rights into health and social care policy and practice. The series highlights stigma, discrimination and inequality faced by disabled people, people living with long term conditions and unpaid carers in Scotland.

The session will take place from 10am to 11.30am and will be chaired by Lucy Mulvagh, the ALLIANCE. Speakers to be announced over the coming weeks.

Please register for the event using Zoom, when you are signing up let us know if you have any accessibility requirements.
