Join us for our next digital members networking session delivered by the Care Inspectorate.
This event is for anyone with an interest in the Care Inspectorate’s role in responding to care concerns and supporting improvement.
The aim of this 1.5hr session is to raise awareness of the Care Inspectorate’s complaints function. It will provide research data on themes and the barriers to people raising concerns.
The session will go through the complaint process, covering:
- initial contact
- information gathering
- factors involved in decision making and investigations.
Care examples will be shared to highlight themes, and how care cultures play a major factor in early detection of practice issues.
The session will be delivered by Complaint Inspector, John Elliott. John has a background in Children’s Social Work before moving to the Care Inspectorate in 2012. John works in the complaints team and is involved in many practice development areas including restraint reduction, corporate parenting, child protection, and promoting children’s rights.
