Come along to an online event run by Feniks to learn about their research into the lived experience of Polish unpaid carers.

In Scotland, there are between 70,000 and 80,000 unpaid carers. For the population over 16 years old, 17% of females and 12% of males are carers. Meanwhile, there is nearly no data on Polish carers in Scotland. The only analysis available is from the 2011 Scottish census, which indicates that 3% of the Polish people provided more than 1 hour of unpaid care a week, whereas 9% of respondents reported at least one long-term condition.

Based on the findings of our research report, Polish Unpaid Carers in Scotland: A Closer Look, we would like to share with you the recommendations and actions which we believe would improve support provision tailored for Polish carers and inform services on how to shift its approach to implementing policies.

Join us on 29th November at 10:00 am to learn more about our insightful research, the findings and recommendations to improve the support system and the lives of Polish carers in Scotland.
