Share your views with the Scottish Government on the development of Scotland's Health and Social Care Renewal Framework.

In June 2024, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care outlined the vision for “A Scotland where people live longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives.” On 27 January 2025, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Mr Neil Gray introduced the development of a Health and Social Care Service Renewal Framework (2025-2035) as part of work the Scottish Government is taking forward to achieve this vision.

The Health and Social Care Service Renewal Framework, which aims to be published prior to the end of June 2025, will set out how services across Scotland will renew and improve. In doing so, it comprises of four key elements which the Scottish Government want the future of health and social care to look like and deliver:

  • People: improving population health,
  • Prevention: a focus on prevention and early intervention,
  • Quality: providing quality services, and
  • Access: maximising access, all underpinned by a person-centred approach.

The Health and Social Care Service Renewal Framework is part of a suite of 3 publications being developed for health and social care, alongside:

  • The Operational Improvement Plan which is focused on immediate improvements in the NHS
  • The Population Health Framework which is the 10 year plan for improvements in health and wellbeing in Scotland.

The ALLIANCE would like to invite you, or a representative of your organisation, to join us and the Scottish Government for an engagement session around the development of Scotland’s Health and Social Care Service Renewal Framework.

This session is an opportunity for ALLIANCE members to hear about the current plans in the framework’s development and to contribute your insights and priorities, to inform the approach the Scottish Government is taking in developing the Service Renewal Framework.
