Free event for families of newly identified children who are deaf or hard of hearing
The Scottish Sensory Centre are hosting an event for families whose child has recently been identified as deaf or hard of hearing.
This event, in partnership with the National Deaf Children’s Society, will include information on:
- Your child’s communication development
- Different types of support available
- Making choices
- Hearing aids/cochlear implants
- Assistive technology for school and the home.
The aim is to offer all families a supportive and confidential environment to share experiences.
This event is free to attend and takes place on Saturday 26 April 2025, 10am – 3pm at the University of Edinburgh.
