The ALLIANCE are hosting a human rights themed Hustings ahead of the UK General Election.

A UK General Election has been called by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and will take place on Thursday 4 July 2024.

Ahead of the General Election, the ALLIANCE would like to invite you to an online hustings where representatives from the UK Parliament’s four main parties will debate policies and answer questions on human rights. This is an opportunity for attendees to hear each political party’s views and plans for the future of human rights in Scotland.

The party representatives taking part include:

  • Councillor Sally Pattle, Liberal Democrats candidate for Bathgate and Linlithgow
  • Richard Baker, Labour candidate for Glenrothes and Mid Fife
  • Amy Callaghan, SNP candidate for Mid Dunbartonshire
  • Brian Whittle, Conservative MSP for South Scotland region
