Hear the latest policy updates and access a range of resources to support the wellbeing of children and young people at this free workshop.
The Getting to Know Getting it Right for Every Child team at the ALLIANCE are delighted to announce this interactive workshop in Stirling.
In the morning session there will be a brief update on progress with GIRFEC policy, followed by an introduction to a range of ALLIANCE Getting it Right resources to enable practitioners to support families to work with local authority and health services to achieve the best outcomes for their children and young people. Hard copies of wellbeing resources for practitioners, community organisations and children and young people will be available.
In the afternoon session there will be hands on opportunities to consider how you would use these resources in your day to day work.
By the end of the session delegates will:
- Be informed of the latest development of GIRFEC policy
- Be familiar with the ALLIANCE GIRFEC ‘Training the Trainer’ resources and language
- Continue to support children and young people to improve wellbeing using a variety of new resources
- Feel confident to use these resources to plan and evaluate their project activities focusing on wellbeing outcomes
This workshop is free to attend, and is aimed at practitioners who support children and young people with disabilities and/or long term conditions.
Teas and coffees will be available from 10am, with the session starting at 10.30am. A light lunch will be provided at the session. Please note, numbers are limited so please book early to secure your place.
