We would like to invite you to our next members to networking event on getting to know GIRFEC.
The ALLIANCE has been helping to empower children, young people, parents and carers to use the GIRFEC approach to help bring together the support that disabled children and those living with long term conditions need. During the session there will be opportunities to discuss what we do, to view and try out some of the guides and materials we have developed and to help us to shape our program for the next year.
There will also be an opportunity to learn about the current thinking of the independent Panel, chaired by ALLIANCE Chief Executive Ian Welsh. The Panel was set up by the Deputy First Minister to develop and produce, by consensus, an authoritative draft Code of Practice (the “Code”) for information sharing. It was also invited to provide recommendations on Statutory Guidance and other materials required to support core aspects of the GIRFEC approach such as the named person and the child’s plan.”
The start time will be 11 am until 1 pm and will be followed by a networking lunch.
It would be great to see you on the day so if you have any questions or if you would like to register a place please email email@example.com. Please also let us know if you have any dietary or access requirements.
