Humans of Scotland: A celebration of stories

Section: The ALLIANCE Location: Online Date of event: 03/12/2021 at 11:00 - 12.30

The ALLIANCE marks three years of Humans of Scotland and our upcoming COVID-19 publication with an online event.

Three years to the day of the publication of the ALLIANCE’s first Humans of Scotland story, we celebrate the project with an online gathering to share stories and hear from contributors in a panel discussion.

Coinciding with International Day of People with Disabilities, the event will feature storytellers from across Scotland who contributed to our COVID-19 series. Stories from this series have now been collected in a publication that will also be launched on the day.

Disabled people, people living with long term conditions, unpaid carers and NHS staff who worked throughout the pandemic will read their published pieces at the event, take part in a lively panel discussion and also answer questions from the audience.

This event is an opportunity to enjoy creative writing and engaging conversation from Humans of Scotland contributors who so kindly share their experiences through the project.

If you have accessibility requirements, please let us know as soon as you can so that we can make any arrangements required. If you require BSL/English interpreters or electronic note-takers, let us know before Monday 22nd November. Contact if you need any more information.
