This online event with IFIC Scotland will facilitate cross-sector dialogue on key issues in integrated care.

This online session hosted by IFIC Scotland in partnership with the University of the West of Scotland, the ALLIANCE and Health and Social Care Scotland continues cross sector dialogue on hot topics in integrated care. It will feature outputs from two collaborative research projects recently undertaken by the University of West of Scotland and IFIC Scotland partners:

  • CLI: Cultures and Leadership for navigating successful change in integrating health and social care, supported by funding from the Scottish Government Directorate for Social Care and National Care Service Development.
  • From strategic intent to procurement of adult social care support in Scotland, commissioned by the Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS) with funding from the Scottish Government.

Insights from both projects will be useful for policy makers, education providers, and health, social care, housing, third sector and independent sector partners.

Join us to explore the enablers and barriers of collaborative commissioning and procurement of adult social care and the leadership required to achieve successful outcomes from integration. A cross sector panel will share experiences across Scotland and actionable ideas for improvement as the focus of the Care Reform (Scotland) Bill and the new National Care Service Advisory Board move towards what can be achieved within existing structures.

Panel

  • Professor Anne Hendry, Director of IFIC Scotland
  • Professor Stephen Gibb, Chair of Organisation and Human Resource Development, University of the West of Scotland and CLI Project Lead
  • Connie Henry, Future Workforce Lead/Unit Head, Scottish Government Directorate for Social Care and National Care Service Development
