Join us for the launch of the Five Ambitions for the Future of Health and Care.

What do we need to transform Scottish society so that everyone can thrive?

That’s one of the main questions we’ll explore at the launch of the Academy’s new ‘Five Ambitions’ for the Future of Health and Care. These were created through extensive engagement with ALLIANCE members and partners in 2023.

The Five Ambitions set out the conditions for radical, long term and sustainable change – not just in health and care, but across society. They are intended to inspire, encourage action, and help identify the steps needed for a future where people and wellbeing are at the centre.

The launch will feature a panel of experts and examples of the Five Ambitions in action. There will also be space to share your ideas and insights on what is needed to transform the future of health and care.

The panel will be chaired by Lucy Mulvagh, the ALLIANCE, and we will be joined by:

  • Tara Singelton, REACH Advocacy Scotland
  • Brendan Martin, Buurtzorg Britain & Ireland
  • Michael Heffernan, member of Scotland’s second national Action Plan for Human Rights (SNAP 2)
  • Colette Mason, Links Programme, the ALLIANCE
