Rosey Project Community zine launch

Section: the ALLIANCE Membership Location: Glasgow City Date of event: 02/12/2019 at 17:30 - 19:30

The Rosey Project Community have created four zines in which they document their experiences of sexual violence.

The Rosey Project Community have created four zines in which they document through art, poetry and narrative their experiences of sexual violence, how it has impacted them and how they have coped with it. They hope that what they have written will be helpful for other young survivors, and help people like you to understand the impact of sexual violence on young people. The launch event will showcase their work. There will be a whole range of experiences for you including:

  • An introduction from Roza Salih, well known Glasgow activist and former “Glasgow Girl”
  • Young people from the group and their friends will do readings of the work in the zines
  • Music from Heir of the Cursed
  • There will be a panel discussion with the opportunity to ask questions to the group, compered by Christina McKelvie Minister for Older People and Equalities at the Scottish Government
  • Fantastic vegan food and cakes provided by Hygge Catering and Allium Catering

The Rosey Project Community are grateful to the amazing sponsors for their zine and the event including: The Copy and Print Shop; Drygate; Arnold Clark; Hygge Catering and Allium Catering.
