After the success of their previous AI session, join Third Sector Lab for a 90 minute online session.

This session, led by Third Sector Lab, as part of their event series, The Curve, will cover:

AI policy workshop
We will work through a one-page policy template live covering approved tools & tiers, data boundaries (green/amber/red), verification requirements, and trustee visibility. Attendees leave with a draft policy they can take back to their organisation.

Live CRAFT data demo

Run a live walkthrough of the CRAFT pipeline (Collect → Refine → Analyse → Fact-check → Transform). Show the full journey from raw data to dashboard in real time.

Board & trustee governance
What trustees need to know, what questions to ask, and how to bring AI onto the board agenda.

Ethics & responsible AI
Bias in training data, environmental cost of inference, the minimalist–responsible–maximalist spectrum. Specific to charity context. Where AI should not replace human relationships.

Tools: Copilot, Claude, and beyond
Direct comparison and honest assessment of different tools for charity use cases, addressing specific questions raised in feedback.

The training is followed by a dedicated Q&A session.

This session will be facilitated by Mal Minhas, a digital technology leader with a commercial background, now focused on empowering charity leaders with AI adoption strategies. He helps third sector organisations navigate the organisational change required for AI adoption, emphasising people, process, technology, data, and governance. Mal’s expertise includes demystifying generative AI and introducing practical frameworks like RACE and REACH to guide personal and organisational AI journeys.

Mal also offers fractional consultancy and advisory services to the sector.
