Network with colleagues from across Scotland to share learning on social prescribing and links worker approaches.
As in previous years we will bring together approximately 200 people who are interested in links workers and social prescribing services to connect and share learning.
The ALLIANCE has been working in partnership with the GPs at the Deep End to codesign and deliver a Community Links Practitioner role in Deep End General practices since 2013. Since then we have also sought to create a community of ‘Links Workers’ and offered an annual event to connect this growing community and those they work with.
The 2018 event comes at a crucial time for Integrated Joint Boards (IJBs), Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs), third sector organisations, and people who use GP services. This year we hope to welcome an increasing diversity of delegates, including those who will be responsible for exploring how to best deliver a ‘links approach’ in their community and this year we are offering even more workshops to choose from.
Confirmed speakers are Professor Graham Watt, Honarary Senior Research Fellow in General Practice and Primary Care at University of Glasgow and Professor Sir Harry Burns, Director of Global Public Health at University of Strathclyde’s International Public Policy Institute.
