Virtual roundtable: integrated care for children and young people and transitions to adult services
- Type: Event
- Date: 12/12/2023 at 12:00pm - 2:00pm
- Location: Online.

Join our panel of experts in exploring transitions for children and young people.
The Scottish Government asked CELCIS to research how services for children and young people could be better delivered in Scotland in light of the proposed National Care Service and a commitment to Keep the Promise of the Independent Care Review (2020). The research aimed to understand how children, young people and their families could better access support and help when they need it.
A virtual roundtable is being held on December 12th from 12-2pm which brings together policy makers, advocates, third sector partners, and health and care professionals to reflect on this area and discuss the commitment to a National Transitions to Adulthood Strategy for disabled young people.
The event will be hosted by Sara Redmond, Chief Officer for Health & Social Care Alliance Scotland and Marianne Tyler, Senior Development Officer for Health & Social Care Alliance Scotland.

There will be a panel comprised of different health and social care professionals:
- Paul Beaton, Head of the Children’s Services Reform Unit at the Scottish Government
- Jenny Miller, CEO of PAMIS
- Fiona Paton, Lead for Nursing and AHPs in the Women, Children and Sexual Health Directorate at NHS Dumfries and Galloway
- Mark Inglis, Head of Children’s Health, Care and Justice Services at South Ayrshire HSCP
