What does shared decision making mean to you?

Section: People and Networks Self Management and Co-Production Hub Location: Perth and Kinross Date of event: 03/07/2018 at 2.00pm - 4.00pm

What does shared decision making to support your self management look like? Share your thoughts and experiences at our roundtable discussion

Practising Realistic Medicine (this link will take you away from our website), the Chief Medical Officer’s third annual report, encourages practical discussions on how we can change our style to shared decision making.

On the 3rd of July, 2pm to 4pm, the Health and Social Care Academy and the Self Management Network Scotland will be holding a group discussion at the Perth Museum on shared decision making. We’ll be debating if shared decision making works for everyone, how power dynamics affect shared decision making, and the ways we can overcome any potential barriers by building on good practice.

This event is open to everyone but we particularly interested in hearing from the voice of lived experience. Refreshments will be available on the day.

You can register you interest in attending this event by emailing smns@alliance-scotland.org.uk with any dietary or accessibility requirements.
