Beatroute Arts

Beatroute Arts were awarded £102,258 in September 2023 to run their project for 36 months.

The funded project, Nurturing Communities, aims to address the need for services for people living with disabilities in Glasgow Ward 17, by expanding and developing the Beatroute Allsorts model. With the existing weekly Allsorts group already meeting the need for socially inclusive creative provision, this expansion would address the identified need for services which focus on physical and mental wellbeing by providing disabled adults with activities focussed on gentle exercise, mindfulness, and healthy eating, including teaching individuals the skills they need to be able to prepare nutritious, balanced meals. This project aims to teach members the skills necessary to live healthier, more independent lives and will culminate after the first 12 months in the publishing of a cookery book.
