Venture Trust were awarded £120,000 in September 2023 to run their project for 24 months.
The funded project aims to expand and sustain the capacity of existing Outdoor Therapy walk and
talk counselling service, providing an offer of 12 weeks of 1:1 and group therapy sessions in the
outdoors that places the participant at the centre of their healthcare decisions. The service will
target individuals that are particularly vulnerable and at risk of suffering from long term health
inequality to:
A) Improve their own ability to manage their mental and physical wellbeing for the long term
B) Learn and develop the skills and tools required to be able to have more confidence,
knowledge and leadership of their long term health
