Resources available to help encourage older people to claim the social security payments they are entitled to.

Hundreds of thousands of older people in Scotland are missing out on social security money they are entitled to because they are not claiming it, according to Citizens Advice Scotland.

The Scottish Citizen’s Advice Bureaux network has joined with the Scottish Government to launch a campaign urging people to contact their Citizen’s Advice Bureaux for support in claiming the social security payments that they are entitled to.

You can get relevant advice from your local Citizen’s Advice Bureaux. To find out where your Citizen’s Advice Bureaux is, visit the Citizen’s Advice Scotland website (this link will take you away from our website) or call 0800 023 2581.

A toolkit has been produced with information on how you can help support the campaign, and includes text for use in website, blogs and newsletters, and social media posts to use on your channels.
