The ALLIANCE Carer Voices has played a key role in contributing to health and social care integration.

In partnership with Moray Wellbeing Hub, Dumfries and Galloway IJB, Homeless Network Scotland, Engage Renfrewshire, the Coalition of Carers in Scotland, Forth Valley Sensory Centre and Glasgow City HSCP, the ALLIANCE’s Integration Support team collected seven case studies which demonstrate the good practice that is taking place within health and social care integration.

These case studies considered the themes of:

  • Co-Production and Leadership
  • Financial Planning
  • Strategic Planning
  • Accountability and Transparency
  • Information Sharing
  • And Meaningful and Sustained Engagement

Each project featured in this report is either led by, or has strong involvement from, third sector organisations – demonstrating the key role the third sector has to play in health and social care.

The ALLIANCE Carer Voices project, situated within the Integration Support Team has also been noted for its incredible outreach and contribution to health and social care integration.

The project has delivered around 900 talks to 200,000 people and collecting 24,500 pledges from health and social care staff and students. Through the use of values based reflective practice, the What Matters to You approach, staff and students have been encouraged to continuously reflect on their pledge – producing a long-term and tangible culture change within care settings.
