Carers Trust Scotland student carers survey launched

Section: People and NetworksType: News Item Date Published: 15th May 2020

Do you have caring responsibilities? Are you studying at college or university or considering college or university for the future?

Carers Trust Scotland (this link will take you away from our website) knows that balancing studies with caring responsibilities can bring unique challenges for carers. They are currently undertaking research on the experiences of students with caring responsibilities and findings from this work will inform their recommendations to improve the educational experience for carers. The final research report will be launched in October 2020.

They have been working with colleges, universities and carers centres from across Scotland, to ensure that all student carers or prospective student carers considering applying to further education can contribute their voice to the project.

You can participate in this research by completing an online questionnaire listed below, but if you’d prefer to talk about your experiences on the phone or through video conferencing, please get in touch with the Research and Engagement Worker, Hannah at hmartin@carers.org.
