The ALLIANCE are showing their support on the NHS' 70th anniversary.

2018 marks the 70th anniversary of the National Health Service (NHS), which was founded on 5 July, 1948. This anniversary is the perfect opportunity to thank the extraordinary NHS staff and partners, to recognise how far the NHS has come with advances in care, treatment, science and technology, and to look forward to the future shape of health and social care.

The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) would like to acknowledge the NHS as a key partner and one of nation’s most important institutions and appreciate the vital role the service plays in all of our lives. We want to recognise and thank the extraordinary NHS staff who are there to guide, support and care for us, day in, day out.

To highlight our support, the ALLIANCE will be joining in the conversation via our social media channels using the hashtag #nhsscot70. Make sure to join in our celebrations on Twitter at @ALLIANCEScot, on Instagram at @alliance.scotland and on Facebook (this link will take you away from our website). We will be sharing some of our stories and pictures of our experiences of the NHS over the years.

A great range of other activities and events will be happening all over the UK in the coming weeks. Visit the NHS Scotland website (this link will take you away from our website) to find out more about how you can get involved.
