Applications are open for the post of Project Assistant for the Lothian Self Management project based in Edinburgh.
The overall purpose of this post is to further the aims and objectives of Children’s Health Scotland by helping sick children and young people meet their healthcare needs in partnership with parents, carers and professionals. The post-holder will work with the Lothian Self Management Project (this link will take you away from our website) which aims to assist children and young people (8-18) with long term health conditions to develop their self management tools to live positively with their health. In particular the post-holder will assist the Project Officer to support children, young people (and parents as appropriate) to take part in the Project and in the preparation and delivery of the workshops programmes.
As this post is working with children the successful application will require to undergo a successful PVG check with Disclosure Scotland.
During periods when workshop programmes are being delivered, hours will be worked flexibly including occasional early evenings and weekends.
