Sharing the work of health and care organisations adapting and responding to COVID-19.

At the ALLIANCE we are launching a new series, Community in Action, sharing the work of the third, health and social care sectors during the COVID-19 outbreak. We are acutely aware of the challenges faced across a range of areas. In publishing stories on responses to COVID-19, we aim to share best practice, inspire and share news on the innovation that is taking place across Scotland.

We are already hearing of rapid action being taken to react to COVID-19 conditions from third sector organisations working with the statutory sector to provide essential services, services quickly migrating their support to online channels, and the stepping up of existing services to meet increased demand.

Our reporting will take the form of articles as well as first person Opinions from those working across the sector to give insight into how they are adapting at this time. Integration is an important theme of the series and we will highlight partnership working, drawing attention to the sterling work being done by organisations that are working together to support those who access services.

As we all adapt to the current situation we can support one another by sharing intelligence on what is working and where the challenges lie. We will reach our wide audience at the ALLIANCE with the most up to date information from our members and other bodies and organisations across the country. Our website will be a hub for the sectors to gather the latest news on COVID-19 responses.
