New resources published by WHO Europe

For International Nurses Day on 12 May, WHO/Europe has published a set of resources to support countries to invest in and strengthen their primary healthcare nursing workforce.

The new publication “Competencies for nurses working in primary health care” provides guidance and inspiration for policy-makers, educators, managers and clinicians.

The ALLIANCE are pleased that our Frailty Matters project supports the outlined five clusters of competencies:

  • patient advocacy and education;
  • effective communication;
  • teamwork and leadership;
  • people-centred care and clinical practice; and
  • continuous learning and research
