Deafscotland in partnership with Deaf Links, ITV SignPost, See Me and the ALLIANCE has launched a series of mental health resources.

On Friday 12 April 2019 at Deaf Links / Tayside Deaf Hub in Dundee, deafscotland held an event in partnership with Deaf Links (this link will take you away from our website), ITV SignPost (this link will take you away from our website), See Me (this link will take you away from our website) and the ALLIANCE to launch ‘Connect Us Too’ mental health resources for deaf people.

Deafscotland and partners discovered that often it can be difficult for people with hearing impairments to access mental health services and info. The series of British Sign Language (BSL) videos on mental health were created to help to breakdown the stigma of mental health issues and encourage deaf people to talk to others.

Four BSL videos have been created and can be accessed on YouTube:

If you have any questions regarding these resources or would like to speak to someone involved in creating the videos please contact deafscotland on 0141 248 2474 or at admin@deafscotland.org.
