Discover Digital to fund nine organisations

The Discover Digital project has announced that it will be funding nine organisations under the new Inclusion and Participation Grants.
The aim is to build on the engagement work carried out as part of the small grants scheme in 2021. Which was important in uncovering barriers to digital health and care for seldom heard and minority communities.
The new grants will continue this work and expand the scheme to reach more people and find targeted solutions to these access barriers. Two levels of funding will be provided: one for engagement (Discovery Grant) and one for a co-designed project to tackle access barriers (Enabler Grant).
Discovery Grants
We are delighted to announce that we will be working with the following organisations over the next six months as part of the Discovery Grants.
- Articulate Cultural Trust – will engage with care experienced young people and care leavers. Read more here (this link will take you away from our website).
- Cornerstone Community Care – will engage with people with learning disabilities, autism and complex care needs. Read more here (this link will take you away from our website).
- OPAL Border Cyrenians – will engage with older adults, 60+. Read more here (this link will take you away from our website).
- Deafblind Scotland – will engage with deafblind people. Read more here (this link will take you away from our website).
- Scottish Care – will engage with a range of people including those on low incomes, those with additional communication needs and those who live in remote communities. Read more here (this link will take you away from our website).
- Cosgrove Care – will engage with adults with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs. Read more here (this link will take you away from our website).
We will be sharing insights and updates from this engagement work over the next six months.
Enabler Grants
For the Enabler Grants, we are excited to be working with the following organisations over the next 18 months.
- LGOWIT (Let’s get on with it together) – will support those with long term conditions who are digitally excluded and living in a remote part of the Highlands. Read more here (this link will take you away from our website).
- Networking Key Services – will support South Asian women, older people and people with long term health conditions. Read more here (this link will take you away from our website).
- Tailor Ed Foundation – will support children with autism and their families. Read more here (this link will take you away from our website).
We will be sharing information and updates on these projects as they develop.
We are proud that we will be working with these amazing organisations and are excited about the difference that we can all make to digital inclusion and digital health and social care.
