Addressing weight stigma is an area identified as having potential to radically reform health and social care.

The Health and Social Care Academy hosted an event to examine weight stigma in Scotland and to consider how things could be improved, through learning from the voice of lived experience.

The event brought together a diverse range of people with differing views and perspectives and guest speakers shared their views on how health and social care services can promote health and body respect for everyone in Scotland.

Our event report shares details of the session and considers what change is needed in Scotland and what steps can be taken to implement this change.
