LGBT Health and Wellbeing are hosting a community discussion exploring the needs, rights and stories of LGBT carers and people with dementia

Dementia and carer organisations across Scotland have been invited to join ALLIANCE member LGBT Health and Wellbeing at an upcoming community discussion event. This will provide an opportunity for people to share their experiences and contribute to an important discussion concerning the unique perspective of LGBT carers and people with dementia.

The event will be held on Wednesday 28 November from 18:45 – 20:45 at the CCA in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.

This will form a part of a new national project which aims to:

  • Raise the voices of LGBT people affected by dementia;
  • And support those working with people affected by dementia to better understand and meet the needs of LGBT people accessing services and support.

You can sign up for the community discussion event here (this link will take you away from our website).
