The Social Programme has announced six months of free activities for anyone affected by dementia.

From April to September 2018 the Social Programme will be hosting a series of dementia friendly events across Scotland. These will be free of charge to anyone affected by dementia.

The Social Programme is a joint initiative between the National Library of Scotland, the National Galleries of Scotland and the National Museums of Scotland. They have recently welcomed two new partner venues, Edinburgh Zoo and St Cecilia’s Hall who will be sharing the first Friday of the month slot for the next six month programme (April-Sept).

The Social Programme creates a friendly environment where everyone is welcome and all contributions are valued. Sessions start with tea and cake, and feature a range of activities inspired by different collections, building confidence, inspiring curiosity and having fun. They are suitable for those who might not be regular visitors, as well as people who have always loved visiting.

We have attached a brochure with further details on each of the events if anyone is interested in attending.
