Glasgow Film Theatre’s Movie Memories has announced that it will be presenting another three dementia friendly movie events in January, February and March.
Stan & Ollie will be shown on the 17th January, What’s Up, Doc? on the 14th February and the Treasure of the Sierra Madre on the 14th March.
Movie Memories is a monthly programme funded by the Life Changes Trust presenting film screenings alongside a programme of multi-arts entertainment in a dementia friendly environment, with dementia aware staff and volunteers (Movie Memories Ambassadors) in attendance.
Dementia Carer Voices work on the steering group of this programme. And we know how important events like Movie Memories are for ensuring people living with dementia are empowered to stay connected to their communities, by providing a safe and inclusive environment which allows people to carry on taking part in the activities they enjoy.
You can expect:
- A welcoming and safe environment;
- A social space, where conversation is encouraged;
- Dementia aware staff and volunteers in attendance;
- And free refreshments and an interval.
Tickets for each event are £3. You can visit the GFT website (this link will take you away from our website) or call 0141 332 6535 for more information.
