The youth work sector has now been given the go-ahead to return to some face-to-face delivery outdoors.

To help deliver this vision, YouthLink Scotland, the national agency for youth work, has now published COVID-19: Guiding Framework to support gradual phased renewal of youth work services (this link will take you away from our website).. The guidance has been developed in partnership with the Scottish Government, Public Health Scotland and the sector to support a planned and informed approach to the gradual, phased return of face-to-face delivery, beginning with youth work outdoors.

CLD workplace guidance (this link will take you away from our website) is also available to support employers to resume practice safely, and in line with public health advice.  Developed in collaboration with the CLD Ministerial Leadership Stakeholder Reference Group, chaired by Alan Sherry, OBE, it aims to bring together all relevant practice guidance with up to date information and guidance on Scotland’s route map.

Youth work should operate in line with the restrictions outlined by the Scottish Government in the latest edition of Scotland’s route map through and out of the crisis (this link will take you away from our website)..

This guide is part of a series of resources YouthLink Scotland is working on alongside the Youth Work COVID-19 Recovery Group to help youth work organisations navigate the Scottish Government’s route map out of lockdown.
