Healthcare Improvement Scotland – Community Engagement, the new operating name for the Scottish Health Council.

Lynsey Cleland, Director of Community Engagement at Healthcare Improvement Scotland, has confirmed that from 1 April 2020 the Scottish Health Council’s operating name will be Healthcare Improvement Scotland – Community Engagement.

This change is being supported by the launch of a new website which you can access at (this link will take you away from our website).

Following extensive consultations, they are implementing a number of changes to refocus the work in a way that takes into account health and social care integration, and ensures all efforts are focused on the areas where they can make the most impact on strengthening the engagement of people and communities.

During the current COVID-19 pandemic they are adapting activities to prioritise supporting the response capacity of Scotland’s health and social care services. However, look forward to working together in the future to enable local communities to participate in the planning, development and delivery of health and care services.
