Our UK Lead Tommy Whitelaw has been invited to speak at the Your Voice Inverclyde Carers Network Event next week on the 14th March

Your Voice Inverclyde Community Care Forum will be hosting a Carers Network Event next week on the 14th March. This is due to be held at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock.

We’d like to thank Your Voice for giving Dementia Carer Voices the chance to join this local discussion!

The event will give local carers a chance to discuss the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 and how this will affect future eligibility criteria and support plans. This act comes into force on the 1st April so it is vital that carers know where they stand.

Our UK Lead Tommy Whitelaw has been invited to speak at the event. Having been a carer himself, Tommy will speak from personal experience about the importance of keeping carers involved and informed.

There will also be a performance from the Carers Drama Group.

We hope to see you there! To book your place you can contact Your Voice on 01475 728628 or email enquiries@yourvoice.org.uk

And as we know it can be difficult to arrange the time to attend meetings such as this, replacement care can be provided by contacting the Inverclyde Carers Centre on 01475 735180.
