Gerard Gahagan has been announced as the Implementation Lead for the Scottish Government's National Neurological Action Plan.
While we wait for the final version of the National Neurological Action Plan to be published after the consultation period, it has been announced that Gerard Gahagan has been appointed as the National Implementation Lead.
Gerard is currently the Head of Epilepsy Services at the William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre. He is also the acting Chair of the Neurological Alliance of Scotland. Gerard has been closely involved in the development of the Neurological Action Plan.
The ALLIANCE welcomes this appointment as it is great to see someone so connected with the third sector in the post. We hope that this can begin to raise the profile of third sector organisations that deliver such crucial services for those living with a neurological condition. The collaborative ethos of the third sector will be crucial in delivering on the ambitions of the Neurological Action Plan to support the provision of joined up, person centred services.
