New information on COVID-19 testing for children being moved between or to new care placements

On the 14th of May, Iona Colvin, the Scottish Government’s Chief Social Work Adviser sent a letter to Chief Social Work Officers on coronavirus testing for children being moved between or to new care placements.

A decision on testing should be made locally in discussion with the Health Protection Team and this guidance seeks to allow individual risk assessment of each case.  Social work teams should have routes of communication in place to have these discussions in an emergency situation.

Read the letter, which contains important advice and guidelines (this link will take you away from this website).
