NES are offering development sessions for board-level leaders within health and social care to support the digital evolution of services.

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) are offering board development sessions in partnership with the Scottish Government. Building Digital Skills and Leadership Programme, aims to encourage understanding in implementing successful digital transformation. Targeted at board-level leaders of health and care organisations, including executive and non-executive directors, trustees, and elected members, the session aims to equip participants with strategic leadership skills for steering and supporting the digital evolution of health and care services.

Funded by the Scottish Government as part of Scotland’s Digital Health and Care Strategy, Data Strategy and Care in the Digital Age delivery plan, the sessions incur no costs for participating organisations or individuals. The sessions are delivered fully online.

The format of the self-nominated session comprises two parts supported by additional information and resources to enhance participants’ learning experience. Part 1 entails a pre-recorded one-hour video presentation featuring case studies of user-centred transformation and an introduction to the Scottish Approach to Service Design.

Part 2 involves a live, interactive, expert-led session spanning three hours, wherein participants delve deeper into the Scottish Approach to Service Design. From identifying service enhancements to devising solutions and embracing prototyping, this segment explores the make-up of a digitally empowered organisation.

Guiding participants through this journey are expert facilitators with extensive board-level leadership experience and key roles in advancing Scotland’s digital agenda.

Spaces are now available from April – June.
