NHS 24 have launched a 'living well with COPD' guide during Self Management Week to support people to live well with their condition.
NHS inform is Scotland’s national health information resource, run by NHS 24, providing information on health conditions, tests and treatments, health and care rights. You can access the website by here: https://www.nhsinform.scot/ (this link will take you away from our website).
In the lead up to Self Management Week, NHS 24 has been working with support groups for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to create information to help people live well with their condition. People with lived experience have provided their own hints and tips, recommendations for useful resources and have even busted some myths in the hope that others can live well with COPD.
The ‘Living well with COPD’ guide is now live on NHS Inform and can be accessed here: https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/copd/living-well-with-copd#exercising-with-copd (this link will take you away from our website). NHS 24 will continue to create several ‘living well with’ guides to highlight the role self management can have for people living with long term conditions.
