What actions would you recommend to push gender equality for Carers in Scotland?

The National Advisory Council on Women and Girls (NACWG) advises the First Minister on what’s needed to tackle gender inequality in Scotland. The NACWG is made up of 16 women and girls aged 16+ who come from a variety of jobs, roles and backgrounds, bringing a wide range of life experiences and voices to the group.

Every two months they put the Spotlight on a different gender equality issue highlighting statistics and what they already know from the Scottish Government. In November/December 2019, the Spotlight is Carers (this link will take you away from our website).

During these months, they are inviting individuals and groups from all communities across Scotland to share their experiences around this topic.

If you’d like to share your views on the biggest issues affecting women and girls with carer responsibilities, you can have your say on the NACWG website (this link will take you away from our website) or through #GENERATIONEQUAL on Twitter.
