A COVID-19 response to support third sector resilience in Scotland.
In an urgent response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Social Shifters has launched a brand new ‘Social Shifters Scotland’ e-learning and community platform to support third sector resilience, with support from the Scottish Government.
Social Shifters Scotland is free to access, and offers vital support to the 30,000+ charities and social enterprises active throughout Scotland.
Shifters Scotland features many uniquely developed COVID-19 response strategies, checklists, and templates as well as all the latest advice from third sector regulators, funders, and advisory services (Finance, HR, Law, Communications, Insurance and more).
Social Shifters is a global e-learning and community platform, launched in 2019, that supports enterprising community groups, voluntary organisations, and social enterprises. Social Shifters combines bitesize e-learning and inspiring stories from charity and social enterprise leaders with online community collaboration tools to help organisations get off the ground or become sustainable. Right now there are ‘Shifters’ signed up from over 100 countries.
Social Shifters is free-to-access and operated as a not-for-profit organisation registered in Scotland. Just Enterprise is the Scottish Government’s programme of business support for the third sector and the new COVID-19 response services are designed to help social enterprises through this challenging time. It includes one to one support and small group learning and can be accessed via the just enterprise website (this link will take you away from our website). CEIS (this link will take you away from our website) provides support to social enterprises, charities and community groups by pairing organisations with a specialist who will work with them as needed, for service redesign to marketing, tendering for contracts to finance.
